What is Career Cruising?

Career Cruising is a web-based career exploration and planning tool that your child uses to explore career and college options and create a comprehensive career portfolio. Features of the program include:

· Interest and Skills Assessments – Career Matchmaker is based on one of the most well-respected assessment tools in the world

· Detailed Career Profiles – direct links between careers and high school subjects, as well as links between careers and college programs

· Multimedia Interviews – interviews with real people in each occupation add depth and realism to career profiles

· College and Financial Aid Information – updated yearly from the Peterson’s database, with different search tools to help students find the right college and the right scholarships

· Electronic Career Portfolio – available online, so that parents can see how their children are putting together their educational plans

· Resume Builder – integrated with the portfolio to help students format and print out professional-looking resumes quickly and easily
